Homefried Kielbasa and Potatoes

I found the original recipe on pinterest from the blog, Mom Foodie at http://blommi.com/homefried-kielbasa-and-potatoes-recipe/.  I took her recipe and edited it to include some of the comments people had posted as well as my own twist.  This has a polish and German twist.

Amanda’s Fried potatoes and kielbasa
Serves 3-4
  • 14-16 oz. kielbasa
  • 4-5 potatoes
  • 1 Vidalia onion
  • 2 T Olive Oil
  • 2-4 T Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • ½-1 tsp. marjoram
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  1. Heat skillet with olive oil in it on med-high heat.
  2. Cube the potatoes and fry in the oil until they start to brown.  Add 1 T vinegar if the potatoes start to stick.
  3. Dice the onion and slice the sausage and add it to the cooked potatoes.  Mince the garlic and add it in.  Add the rest of the apple cider vinegar if you haven’t already.  Stir while frying.
  4. Once the onions are translucent and the potatoes are cooked enough turn down heat to med-low, and add the remaining ingredients. Stir well.
  5. Serve with cabbage or green beans on the side or add it to the recipe for a more balance meal.
